Pyramid scheme goes Twitter

Filed under: Uncategorized — Björn Wilmsmann @ 2:56 am

After having used Twitter only occasionally before, recently I seem to have caught the Twitter virus and used the service more frequently.

However, I still don’t see why one should vie for followers at any price. This is exactly what TweeterGetter does by introducing a good old-fashioned pyramid scheme (or multi-level marketing as some folks like to call it) to Twitter.

So, what’s the point of having 19,530 followers that don’t care about what you’ve got to tell them at all? For them, your tweets will just add up to an enormous amount of noise. So, unless you’re Ted Murphy those newly gained followers might not get you anything but a large number in your Twitter profile.

Besides, pyramid schemes don’t work, never have, never will. Do your math.
